Love the food place looks like shit but everything else is very good Doesn't help there's a bunch of cats hanging out outside The cat Chicken taste really good
This is my favorite place to get Chinese TAKEOUT in South Dade. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. And when you first walk inside, it appears very uninviting. But I'm pretty sure that is a strategic move on their part. Do not let the drab appearance dissuade you from giving them a chance. I have been buying from them for over 15 years and their food quality has not changed. Also, during that time, their prices have remained VERY reasonable. We like to get the family sized Special fried rice, which is an aluminum pan that can feed up to 10 people (depending on portion size). Couple that with the fried chicken wings (whole pieces, not just flats and drumettes) and two quarts of soup and our family of 4 can eat twice and still have rice left over and this becomes the cheapest meal choice you can make. Go ahead. Don't be scared off by their looks. I believe they have done this on purpose to encourage only takeout because they are just a husband and wife operation and don't have time to accommodate eat in diners (although they will accept you if you insist). Give them a chance. I think you too will become a repeat customer.
The food now sucks,I used to come here a while ago and the food was not that bad but now it is.I had the pan fried noodles and barely had any sauce and the little bit that it had was bad.
I have been trying for years to get them to answer the phone since COVID hit and closed businesses. Does anyone know if they opened back up???? They were my fav Chinese restaurant and I can’t find any good enough to replace them……happy house knew how to do sesame chicken!! Their food is so good -food is a 5 star. The service was always good when we got it before. But I am giving it a one star over all now (2025) since I can’t get them to answer the phone.
It was truly a terrible experience. The old Chinese guy was rude and extremely irritable. The atmosphere was less like a restaurant and more like a sweat shop. Honestly I didn't even order because most of the things on the menu were missing but the few minutes thought I was there I completely lost my appetite for Chinese food and just went to McDonald's. I truly do not understand how these people could be in business because honestly the place it's not very good.
The food is good, delicious. I love the chicken, tender and juicy. And the price is right. Nowadays you have to pay attention to your wallet. This humble small restaurant delivered hearty meal without breaking my bank.
Tiny little place. If you like mom and pop places this one is for you. First glance lots of clutter and not enough storage. I'm sure property is $$$$$$ in this area. They didn't waste anytime starting our order. Only took about 10 min to cook our order up. The plates were really good and piping hot. The fried rice was as usual with many restaurants, good but nothing special. Egg rolls could use a bit more flavoring and filling, but good. Egg drop soup is very salty, above the norm to the point it takes on a different flavor. Over all a great place to get quick take out.
The food is really good, let's get that out of the way. I've ordered from there twice and been happy with the food both times. The egg drop soup is very good as well as their fried rice. My issue is with their service. Both times the interactions with the staff were awkward, like they impatient with my questions about the menu items and were somewhat condescending. I really want to like this place but I'll think twice before I go back. I'll have to decide if the food is worth the service.
